The Digital Village is a grassroots digital home for, and curated by, artists, world builders, spiritualists, culture workers + care workers who are interested in strategically reshaping how we live life to survive as wholly as possible in our post-apocalyptic future.

The Digital Village is an experiment that seeks to operate outside the larger digital world as a means of protecting our privacy, practicing hyper-local community building and moving beyond digital spectacle as a means of surviving digi-capitalism and digi-fascism.

Our interest areas include:

 • up/recycling tech
 • repairing tech
 • community-owned infrastructure
 • decentralization + federation
 • privacy + security
 • self + community hosting/networking
 • digital migration

We learn, experiment and teach these areas through:

 • workshops and trainings
 • community conversations
 • practicing mutual aid
 • zine making + collaging
 • sharing documentation
 • providing consultations

Building a Tech Library

Milestone: $0 of $5000 / month

Let's Build a Tech Library!

Have you ever tried to finish a project and your laptop just stopped working? Phone got wet and need an unlocked loaner? What would it look like to build infrastructure to support our community technology needs rather than having to shell out hundreds or thousands of dollars anytime something urgent happens?

Using lessons learned from Shareable's Library of Things Toolkit, I'm looking to build a lending library of technologies for the ATL area. Currently working to survey tech needs in my community and then will move to purchasing the most needed technologies on the list. All while building operations and infrastructure along the way.

Enjoyed anything I've created on Comradery? Contribute to the fund!
