Blikada is a low fantasy webcomic about revolution, crime, and other things you do because you have to.

Blikada is a webcomic that updates as frequently as I can justify. With the help of this Comaradery, I hope I can update it more frequently.
Its setting is strongly inspired by pre-modern Russian/Slavic/Central Asian history and politics, but this won't be allegory or commentary. The people in it aren't human, primarily so you know that right away, but secondarily because I like worldbuilding.
The comic is black and white because I like black and white comics. Hopefully, I can compel you to like black and white comics, too.
I hope to add more to this page than just comic pages; it might be nice to talk about inspirations, share some of my reference folder, post illustrations, that sort of thing. But it'll primarily be about Blikada.
Hope that's cool!

C. Spike Trotman is the founder and owner of Iron Circus Comics and Iron Circus Animation. The former is the biggest comics publisher in the American midwest, nad the latter is a young-n-scrappy indie animation studio responsible for the series Lackadaisy.
It keeps her very busy. Which is why Blikada has, up until now, been so sporadically updated.
I can't justify spending any time or effort on a personal projects when the work never seems to end for stuff that keeps Iron Circus running. So... welcome to my attempt to compartmentalize.
I wanna make stuff again. Ideally, while simultaneously putting a lid on that Shouldn't You be Working subconscious castigation that plagues so many of us trying to survive capitalism.
Milestone: $20 of $250 / month
Let's guilt me into updating this thing at least monthly! I know, that doesn't sound like much, but I also run a publisher and animation studio simultaneously, y'know? I'm pretty busy.

These two again. Supporting cast from my old webcomic, "Templar, Arizona."Scipio was actually a massive stereotype: the socially awkward, shy dude who liked martial arts tokusatsu and anime so much that he hit the gym, became an absolute panty-dropper, and now cannot navigate that new reality.A... Shocked by how long I managed to go without drawing these two.Satyr is a satyr. Pretty self-explanatory. Bultungin, though? She's an east-African were-hyena. They're reported to be large, hairy, sexually imposing, and, uh, good at blacksmithing. They date. For some reason, I like to draw Satyr playing... Continue reading

My final Gobling Week 2025 Goblin. Cuz just like me to take something pure and fun and innocent and make it kinda uncomfortable. I think he's cute, though.

My second goblin of Goblin Week 2025.What can I say? I needed a lot of distracting the first week of January, this year.

A decade-plus ago, cartoonist Evan Dahm made up Goblin Week; just a week to draw some weird li'l guys. It's the first week of January, I think. Here's my first goblin. I drew a few.

Let's try something new to keep this place going, eh. I'll archive all my art here.Above is Reagan Mancuso, from my old abandoned webcomic, "Templar Arizona." She was a fan favorite, and also a creator favorite; the kind of character that slowly, but surely eclipsed primary cast every time she was o... Continue reading

Hi, folks.So... yeah. I'm doing this now.I miss drawing. I miss updating a comic and telling stories. I never get to do that, anymore, and the biggest obstacle is probably me. I have a hard time justifying doing anything for myself. I always, ALWAYS have work for Iron Circus, obligations to ful... Continue reading
