Obituaries
It is high summer and like usual in the summer I am thinking about death. This year I am thinking about obituaries and rememberances. I updated my memorial project list and there is enough work there to fill 3 seasons, if not more. I hope I have time to do them all justice.
Two people I considered family died this year, my mentor and chosen sister Yisha and more recently my father. I am adjusting my priorities and planning services and handling paperwork with my sister and considering what the portal of death means to the living and what large changes need to happen in the future.
I will not be very present or available in Seattle while these and various overlapping processes are ongoing and I almost didn't post a newsletter this month but consistency and professionalism are important to me.
Non memorial projects:
I am in process with Lisa Jules Raisanen and Lisa Al-Hakim on a project that will debut at the Seattle Design Fest August 15-16th
