Yuck, it's been more humid than I'd like, I feel... always vaguely sticky. Nonetheless, a satisfying week, even if not much to show others for it.
- I finished piecing together all the clips for the owlbear process video (despite the program getting weird, see image for this post) and got it under 40 minutes! I am not someone who watches videos so making them always feels weird, but I filmed this, might as well edit it. And it is interesting, following something from patternmaking to final product. Next week is finishing it up (sound? voice? god knows)
- The newsletter for August is basically done, just need to add the book recs.
- This week's blog post is a bunch of short story faves, I have a list I made for the family discord and am trying to motivate myself to go write a little for each one. Using it as fodder for "I don't know what to post" is a good way to prod myself into doing it.
- The spreadsheet for outlining this story I'm working on is basically done, it doesn't look like much but has actually been really helpful in that "I've now spent a lot of time just pondering and that is fuel for later write-writing" kind of way.
- Got the small illustration thing done I needed done. One more on that front to go (next week task).
Otherwise, I'm trying to be better about staying in contact with friends, even as someone who does not use Instagram or Facebook or even text that much (besides like three people who I text A LOT). I'm trying emails? It's working, I think. You know you can just send a long rambly email to a friend and add pictures and links and you can both take time writing each other back without it feeling weird (but it still is a little faster than paper mail)?! Amazing.
