What I'm Seeing - May 2026

This month's roundup was sitting in my drafts last week, all ready to go, and did I send it out on time? NO! I've been busy planting beans in my backyard.

This month marks the first time I'm travelling into NYC to catch a show this year. I know, I know, NYC is only 2 hours away. But I love seeing what is it that finally drives me across the river to drop $250 and spend a day in Da Big Apple. Last year it was an off-broadway one person magic show that I first read in undergrad that tangibly influenced how I write. This year its Harvey Guillen making his Broadway debut. I contain multitudes, ok?

Bonus Art from April

I got to see an advanced screening of Boots Riley's latest film, I Love Boosters, through work last month, and y'all. You HAVE to go see this movie. It's colorful! Revolutionary! Moving! And more of it are miniatures and practical effects than you think! May 22nd, get to a theater and experience it on the big screen, it deserves it!
